What is this book?

Each volume of the series covers the computer skills for one class, from Class 1 to Class 8. A child who has used Books 1 and 2 (computer basics, drawing, games and documents) will recognise the layout, colours and characters, which is a real advantage when a subject is taught only once a week.

For this book we have only the cover. We have not seen its contents page, so we do not list its lessons. If you need the exact unit list before ordering, send us a message on WhatsApp.

Where Book 3 fits in the series

Why a printed computer book still matters

Computer lessons happen once a week, and a child can forget a whole lesson by the next one. A printed book gives the child, and the parent, a record of what was taught and a way to revise at home even when the school lab is not available.

Questions to ask at home

• What did the class do in the lab this week, and what was the hardest part?
• Can you show me how to turn on a computer, open a program and save a file?
• What could you try next if it did not work?

Asking a child to explain a skill is one of the best ways to find out whether they have really learned it.

Why this book?

• The next step in the Hello World Kids series for Class 3.
• Familiar characters and layout from Books 1 and 2.
• A printed record of the lab lessons, handy for revision.

Who is it for, and when is it used?

It is for Class 3 children at Army Public Schools, about eight years old. It is used in the weekly computer period throughout the year. Follow the steps in the book while the teacher demonstrates, then repeat them without looking.

How to help at home

• Encourage short, regular practice on a family computer: ten minutes of typing or drawing beats an hour once a week.
• Set simple safety rules: no sharing of personal details, and always ask an adult before clicking an unfamiliar link.
• Praise problem-solving: "What could you try next?" is better than giving the answer.
• Let your child explain what they did in the lab.
• Keep the book with other school books so it goes to the lab each week.
