What is this book?
Class 4 is the year when children write longer pieces (a paragraph, a news report, an invitation, a debate speech) and learn grammar in context. We Learn English 4 is built on ten themed units with a Muslim role-model start (A call to prayer, A slave's dream) and a fresh, modern end (The conference, a debate on the future of the world).
Every unit has a theme (role models, peace and co-existence, health and hygiene, life skills, nature, sports, technology, citizenship, careers, environmental education, patriotism), a text and a full list of skills. The contents grid is a useful tool for parents: it tells exactly what grammar (past tense, adjectives, conjunctions, future tense, pie chart, homophones, opposites, helping verbs) and what writing (paragraphs, descriptions, news reports, invitations) is expected.
Interesting texts include Mountain climbing (nature, role models, sports), Contributions of Muslims (technology, famous inventions), The robbery with a news report, What will I be? with invitations, and The conference with a debate.
