What is this book?
Level 5 is the last primary book of the series and it is the one with the most science words. It is a slim 118-page book that follows the Single National Curriculum 2020. The unit titles are very close to those of Oxford New Amazing Science 5, which is another Class 5 science book, but here they are arranged in a four-part structure with Fun Pages.
Part 1 Living Things covers the classification of living things, microorganisms and flowers and seeds. Part 2 Materials and Matter covers environmental pollution and physical and chemical changes of matter. Part 3 Forces, Energy and Machines covers light, sound, and electricity and magnetism (the contents shows light and sound as units 6a and 6b). Part 4 The Earth and Space covers the structure of the Earth, and space and satellites, and unit 10 is technology in everyday life.
There are Fun Pages after parts 1, 2, 3 and 4, and a glossary on page 118 that helps with the science vocabulary.
